On the 21st of May, 2021, the YWLN embark on a 5 day tour to the Northern Zone to educate, empower and support young girls of menstruation age.
The YWLN team ended the Northern Zone Tour project by celebrating the World Menstrual hygiene day with girls from Hianwawu Community in Ejura, Ashanti Region. Girls were engaged on Menstrual Hygiene management education, girl empowerment and training on how to sow Reusable Pads. We donated a box of sanitary pad distributed 40 reusable pads, which are Eco-friendly and can be used for as long as 5years with proper hygienic management.The aim is to keep them in school, during the time of the month and put an end to period poverty.
